PROFILE STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION
My name is Nyssa; roughly translated, that means ‘fairy’ and according to some it is a rather accurate description…I think, though, that I will leave it to you to decide. I was born on the planet Traken in the Metulla Orionsis system, the most peaceful place in the universe. Traken had achieved utter harmony through the development of the Source, and later through Keepers who governed the Source – my home was so very pure that evil was calcified and destroyed if ever it came to close to the Source. I was a child in Paradise.
That all changed, though, when a renegade Time Lord called the Master came to Traken. My step-mother was manipulated into giving the man control of the Source, and while another Time Lord called the Doctor was summoned to help foil the Master’s plans, it was too late. Ultimately, Traken (not to mention several other planets!) was destroyed by Entropy and I was left orphaned and homeless…I am the Last Daughter of Traken.
I traveled with the Doctor after that. When the pair of us first met he was all teeth and curls, with a mile long scarf and a taste for jelly babies; but the Doctor I knew best was younger, more mild-mannered...not to mention a devout lover of cricket! He was my best friend. And throughout the other companions’ departures -- whether they left of their own volition or were otherwise…forced to leave us -- I stayed with him.
On Androzani Minor the pair of us contracted spectrox toxemia. There was enough antidote for one…he saved me.
This new Doctor is loud, brash and unpredictable…nothing at all like my gentle cricketer.
But I won’t leave him.
He needs someone to stay with him.
Besides…beneath it all, he’s still the Doctor; he’s still my best friend.
